The Ralph "Stan" Harris STEM Aviation Workshop was a collaborative effort between the Dr. Albert E. Forsythe Chapter of the Black Pilots of America (AEFBPA) and the Long Branch Housing Authority to promote Aviation Awareness. The goal of the workshop was to provide extended exposure to aviation for youth in the Long Branch, NJ community. The workshop was held over five weekends on Saturday morning. It consisted of instruction, hands on activities, flight simulation on computers and a trip to Old Bridge Airport. During the development of the workshop, the Chapter’s chairman of the committee, Ralph "Stan" Harris unexpectedly passed away. With the blessing of his wife, AEFBPA renamed the workshop in his honor. AEFBPA was supported by its members, the Investors Bank, the Long Branch Housing Authority, the Phi Upsilon Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, the Old Bridge Flight School, and other aviation volunteers
